About Kammerer Golf

Our (my) story & 'mission'

Kammerer Golf, LLC was established in 2022, providing services using a different approach from typical consulting, acting more like a partner who shares similar objectives as a member in elevating golf course turfgrass quality, health, performance, and playability.

As the sole employee, complete independence and neutrality is ensured. There is no standardized, "one size fits all" recipe to achieve consistent golf course excellence. All data and information collected are used in making conclusions, formulating plans, and are exclusively owned by the golf course and client; it will not be sold to, or shared with, external companies or marketers. Often, consultants or golf organizations have financial affiliations with manufacturers, distributors, labs, getting commissions or bonuses for promotion and sale of products and proprietary technology while still claiming impartiality.

I don't work on a high-volume basis with hundreds of golf courses. I work with courses aligned in a geographical focus putting quality above quantity.

Background, who am I?

I am Dr. Steven Kammerer, my education is as a plant pathologist with 36 years of professional experience in turfgrass research, technical service, management, and customer relations. My work includes conducting observations, collecting data, and applying science-based methodologies to assess and identify cause-effect relationships. I am skilled in tracking progress and implemented improvements. My areas of expertise include landscape ornamentals, aquatics, environmental health monitoring, and the use of fertilizers, chemicals, and pesticides. I specialize in identifying and managing pests and stress factors affecting plant health.

"Dr. Kammerer has been making visits to our club for the last 7-years.  He's built a relationship with our superintendent unlike any I've ever seen.  Never trying to sell us on anything.  Just giving honest solutions to everyday problems.  Having his set of eyes on our course every year has been extremely helpful, so much so we just signed up for bi-annual visits.  Calling him a consultant does him a disservice.  He's become our trusted partner.  Would highly recommend giving him a call"
